30 Day Challenge: February 2014

30 Day Challenge

So, I got a little lax’ with my 30 day challenges over the past few months, but it’s time to start it up again. This month I’ve decided it’s a good idea to pick easy habits to help ease back into these challenges.

So today, being February 1st I am starting up again – 3 healthy habits! — Flossing, Vitamins and Water. I know I already tackled the flossing and vitamin habits during my first challenge but when I travelled to Iceland this summer I fell off the wagon. Oops! So here we go again.

  1. Floss Every Day

I’ve just decided I’m going to up the ante and add mouthwash to this little challenge a la Ben Mulroney. (If you don’t get that reference… he was a recent spokesperson for the Listerine 2-week challenge)

  1. Vitamin Every Day

Trying to get this habit to stick! Multi and vitamin D here I come.

  1. Water Water Water

The other day I was reading through an article from Chatelaine “Seven healthy habits you should form this year,” and looky look “track your water” was number 2. I’ve been feeling like I haven’t been drinking enough water for a while now and tracking it is the way to go. I’m going to go with 8 glasses of water a day and see how that goes.  I’ve downloaded the app Waterlogged  to test out, though my FitBit app does have a water tracker too.

Now, there isn’t a specific daily recommended intake of water according to Health Canada. Regardless, I’ve decided I’m going to go with 8. Woo!
