Last month I decided to get back into my challenges with 3 healthy habits – Flossing, Vitamins and Water. It went pretty well.
- Floss Every Day
Back on track! Throughout the month I missed 3 or 4 days. Not bad! I was going to add mouthwash to my regime but my friend Jordan informed me that mouthwash with alcohol isn’t the safest route, so I nixed that.
- Vitamin Every Day
Back into this habit too, missed less than 5 days.
- Water Water Water
After having read this article from Chatelaine “Seven healthy habits you should form this year,” I took on “tracking your water” as a challenge. After doing some reading I learned that Health Canada doesn’t have a set daily recommended intake for water, really you just have to do what you think is best. I arbitrarily picked 8… that’s a thing people say right? 8 glasses of water a day? Anyways, 6 ended up being my sweet spot. Water’s my drink of choice so this was pretty doable. It’s nice to feel hydrated all the time!
This month’s challenge?
Lunges. All the lunges.
This idea came from a girls night with some of my favourite ladies at the end of February. Jenna mentioned she would be doing a squat challenge for March and asked if we would do it along with her. I hadn’t picked my challenge for March so I agreed.
I fully intended to have this be a squat month but when I tried to get started on the 1st I decided to switch it up to lunges. Woo lunges!
The challenge is coming from 30 Day Fitness Challenges. So far, so good! You can see the squat and lunge challenges below (click the photos to go to the website). At the end of the 30 days it looks like I’ll be able to do 150 lunges on each leg. Woo! Lunges!
